K3 safety sim

See the accident
before it happens.

A new worker walks a 3D container terminal and makes the calls a first shift demands. Get one wrong and the sim replays what would have happened, then shows the rule.

01 · WALK THE YARD

First person, from the gate

WASD and mouse. A beacon marks the next checkpoint. Trucks loop, the RTG sways, gulls circle the quay.

02 · MAKE THE CALL

A tractor is coming

Three options fill the screen. One is right, two are what people do when they are late. Press A, B or C.

03 · WATCH THE REPLAY

Wrong call, third person

The camera cuts away and plays the accident in slow motion, with the physics in the captions.

04 · DO THE SAFE THING

Then the rule

Hold E to put on PPE or clip a harness. Hit SPACE the moment the driver waves. Then the shift report.

How it works

Walk. Decide. Watch. Learn.

step 01

Walk the yard

WASD and mouse, first person. A beacon marks the next checkpoint. Trucks loop, the RTG sways, gulls circle the quay.

step 02

Make the call

Three options fill the screen. One is right, two are what people actually do when they are late. Press A, B or C.

step 03

Watch the replay

Wrong call: the camera cuts to third person and plays the accident in slow motion, with the physics in the captions.

step 04

Do the safe thing

Hold E to put on PPE or clip a harness. Hit SPACE the moment the driver waves. Then the shift report.

The kernel

The replay is the lesson.

A quiz tells you that you were wrong. A replay shows you the 25-tonne tractor, the 20 metres it needs to stop, and the three seconds you had. The regulation comes after the body, because that is the order in which it was written.

Why not VR

Headsets train the people who already have a training room.

PresenceHigherLower. The replay makes up the difference

Molca, Immerse, SimLab and others do serious VR work for ports and energy. ShiftReplay is the version for everyone who does not get a headset.
